Survey Manager
Precision Surveying and Consulting is seeking a Survey Manager to join our existing team. This job position will support project pursuits and awarded projects by coordinating and managing our survey crews.
Job Details
- Wage: $89,000 to $110,000 based on experience
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Hours per Week: 40-50
- FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
- Working Hours:
- Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
- Occasional Saturdays on an as needed basis
- Reports To: Vice President Head of Survey and Technology
- Available Locations:
- Lincoln, Nebraska
- Omaha, Nebraska
- Effective Date: 10.3.2024
Essential Functions
- Ability to perform physical labor and physical maneuver around construction sites. Capable of lifting and carrying 50 pounds.
- Operate various survey equipment (GPS, Robotics and Total Stations)
Qualifications
- The candidate should possess enough experience to be considered a subject matter expert in the field of Construction Surveying and be familiar with current technical tools, Surveying software, and CAD best practices regarding survey collection
- High School diploma required, bachelor's degree is preferred with 5-20 years combined experience: Survey and Managing multiple survey crews
- Extensive Survey background in both office and field operations
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-starter with the ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality, and productivity
- Strong attention to details and problem solving / analytical skills
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work individually and as a team
- Strong understanding and ability to learn new software and PC based applications
- Strong intra office communication across multiple mediums
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely

Responsibilities
- Makes decisions on operational activities
- Planning and monitoring day to day
- Supervising staff and provides constructive feedback
- Set strategic goals for departments
- Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply continuous improvements
- Manage relationships/agreements with Customers
- Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
- Responsible for growth and profitability of the company
- Set strategic operational goals and KPI's
- Plan, implement and manage the overall long-term business success strategy
- This job position will support project pursuits and awarded projects by coordinating and managing survey crews
- Review client RFP documents to identify the estimating /survey needs
- Create requests for proposals
- Work with business group to create Master Service Agreements and Task Orders for the required work
- Be the onsite representative for Precision Surveying and Consulting
- Ensure the Quality Control procedures are followed to verify the survey accuracy
- Perform work safely and effectively
